S&P 500 closes at record 7,126; Dow +1,005 as Strait of Hormuz reopens

U.S. stocks rocketed higher Friday after Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz "completely open," pushing the Dow up 2.1% (+1,005 pts), the S&P 500 up 1.3% across 7,100 for the first time, and the Nasdaq +1.5%. The S&P notched its 8th record of 2026.
